Native was invited to participate in the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef‘s webinar titled “Valuing Sustainability: Payment for Environmental Services.

The webinar was hosted by Justin Sherrard, Global Strategist Animal Protein with Rabobank.

Claire Lafave, Native’s Manager of Client Strategy, joined to discuss voluntary carbon market opportunities in the beef sector.

Claire shared insights on what Native has learned about how the voluntary carbon marketplace can apply to grazing systems, and emphasized the importance of maintaining credible and transparent projects.

During the webinar, Claire presented the Northern Great Plains Regenerative Grazing HelpBuild project as an example of Native’s approach to developing, quantifying, monitoring, and verifying credible carbon credits from a soil carbon project.

The aim of the Northern Great Plains Regenerative Grazing project is to revitalize the ecosystem and enhance its resilience, enabling it to support a diverse range of species and livelihoods.
