Famed breakfast hot spot Snooze, like many eateries, made a major pivot to take-out and delivery in the past year. The global pandemic put a spotlight on delivery transport, as well as customer travel to pick up orders, as a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions. With this unexpected spike in emissions, Snooze offset delivery and pick-up emissions in collaboration with Native and the Southern Plains Land Trust. Snooze is supporting the conservation of prairie grasslands that hold carbon in their soils, and provide a unique yet threatened habitat for wildlife in this region of Colorado.
