Reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and accelerating the adoption of technologies and practices that reduce those emissions, are essential to Ben & Jerry’s strategy to meet its Science Based Target and overall climate goals. That’s why Ben & Jerry’s works with Native to identify, evaluate, and scale technologies and practices that reduce emissions across its supply chains. Most recently, Ben & Jerry’s funded the instalment of this state-of-the-art manure digester which will prevent methane emissions – a potent greenhouse gas – from entering the atmosphere. The digester is in operation on the Laroche family farm, and is designed specifically for small and mid-size dairy farms in Ben & Jerry’s supply chain.
