Bank of America Taps Native to Expand Renewable Energy Commitment

Last week, Bank of America announced its intent to expand its renewable energy commitment by partnering with multiple carbon offset providers and project developers, including Native, to develop offsite solar projects.

Native firmly believes that reducing carbon and investing in renewable energy sources should be the driving factors in developing new projects and creating positive community impacts. That is why we are proud to partner with Bank of America on the development of three new, community-scale solar projects. These projects will produce numerous benefits at the community level (including communities in North Carolina, where the company is headquartered) such as job support, clean energy access, and higher sustainability.

Over two decades, with hundreds of leaders like Bank of America, Native has invested over $40 million USD and unlocked another $250 million to build over 80 projects. These projects have played a crucial role in mitigating 8 million tonnes of CO2e, bringing 2.75 million MWh of renewable energy online, and providing 100 million litres of clean drinking water for families each year. We are excited to be adding more projects and environmental benefits to that tally with Bank of America today.
