Supporter's Package
REC Portfolio
The Renewable Energy Credit Portfolio accelerates the development of new and innovative solar energy projects that will produce renewable energy for years to come. Thanks to the catalytic upfront funding from supporters (like you!), the projects displace fossil fuels, offer economic benefits to land holders and communities and create pollinator-friendly habitats or grazing pastures for local wildlife or livestock.
An important part of your contribution to these renewable energy projects is sharing what your support has helped achieve. We have built a repertoire of content to help you in doing so.

Blue Prairie Solar Project
The Blue Prairie Solar Project generates renewable solar energy for the Jackson County, Wisconsin electric grid, displacing the need for wholesale, majority coal-generated energy. Managed by Full Belly Farm, the lands hosting the installation are grazed by the farm's sheep and are host to healthy pollinator habitats for local bees. Developed in partnership with OneEnergy Renewables, the project enables supporters to provide the early financing necessary to build the panel infrastructure and maintain the installation and its growing habitat.
Strobus Solar Project
The Strobus Solar Project is managed by Northern Family Farms, a local family-owned nursery and Christmas tree business led by 3rd generation siblings Ashley and Derek Ahl. The project generates renewable solar energy for the Jackson County, Wisconsin electric grid, displacing the need for wholesale, majority coal-generated energy. Furthermore, lands hosting the installation are transformed into healthy pollinator habitats for local bees. Developed in partnership with OneEnergy Renewables, the project enables supporters to provide the early financing necessary to build the panel infrastructures and maintain the installation and its growing habitat.Â
Forest City Solar Project
The Forest City Solar Project supplies the local grid of Forest City, Iowa with renewable solar energy that displaces contracted wholesale energy typically derived from coal-fired generation. Beneath the panels lie pollinator-friendly native meadows, which benefit local beekeepers and adjacent ecosystems. Developed in partnership with OneEnergy Renewables and owned by Butter Solar LLC, the project enables supporters to provide the early financing necessary to build the panel infrastructure and maintain the installation and its growing habitat.
Quotes
Quote from Native
"Native seeks out renewable energy projects that are able to demonstrate their need for additional financing. Support for the Renewables portfolio enables Native to commit to long-term purchases of the RECs from these projects before they come online. This means that supporters of the Renewables Portfolio can have confidence that they are enabling the construction of a new, community-scale renewable energy project each year."

Quote from OneEnergy Renewables
"Contributors to the Blue Prairie project allow Native to substantially increase revenues in the early years of project operations, when it needs it most, allowing the project to be feasible absent the support of a state policy or mandate. Blue Prairie Solar became a reality due to Native’s steadfast commitment."
